Amanda Bossard graduated from high school in 1992. She then began her studies in marine science at the Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage. Bossard started her career in commercial seafood in 1999, when she started working on board the F/V Sunset 65' halibut schooner turned into a salmon tender for Murat Aritan. He has been who has been a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard has been is married to Aritan and the couple has united to make their rights to the industry.
